Il y a fallu faire quelques contorsions, c'était un gros défi de conjuguer la forme avec les contraintes physiques de l'endroit, et une distortion de perspective pour que l'image soit correcte vue du sommet du gratte-ciel le plus proche, tout en utilisant autant que possible les repères visuels du parc pour garder tout ça faisable pour les gens qui délimitaient le contour.
Je suis vraiment fier d'avoir contribué, très content que ça ait marché, et surtout très heureux que les gens soient venus si nombreux. Environ 250 000 personnes! C'était beau de voir autant de gens rassemblés au nom du bien commun.

I've had the (incredible) chance of getting to help Dominic Champagne design this giant hand/tree for earth day here in Montreal. Definitely my most unusual project yet!
It was quite a challenge to adapt the design to the constraints of the location, distort it so that it looks nice from atop the nearest skyscraper, and try to have it match prominent points of reference in the park, to keep things manageable for the people on the field.
I'm very proud to have contributed and am happy that it worked, and that so many people showed up, around 250 000! It was truly beautiful to see that many people gathered in the name of the common good.
